The center can replicate a wide range of real-world collision scenarios—including frontal, side, rear-end, and rollover impacts—and comprehensively evaluate the safety performance of new energy vehicle (NEV) batteries under extreme conditions such as thermal runaway, penetration, and compression.The launch of this center not only addresses gaps in China’s high-end automotive safety testing infrastructure but also signifies the country’s advancement into the global forefront of active safety, passive safety, and intelligent connected vehicle technologies. Going forward, the center will be open to automakers worldwide, offering one-stop testing and certification services aligned with regulatory standards in Europe, the U.S., China, and other major markets—thereby supporting the high-quality development and global expansion of the automotive industry.Moreover, the center will collaborate with universities and research institutions to drive cutting-edge safety technology innovation and accelerate standardization efforts in emerging fields like autonomous driving and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, laying a solid foundation for a safer and smarter future mobility ecosystem.
