原国务委员王丙乾同志因病于2024年6月2日在北京逝世，享年97岁。王丙乾同志是中国共产党的优秀党员，久经考验的忠诚的共产主义战士，我国财政战线的杰出领导人。他1928年出生于河北蠡县，1945年参加革命工作，1948年加入中国共产党。新中国成立后，长期在财政系统工作，历任财政部副部长、部长，并于1993年至1998年担任国务委员兼国家国有资产管理局局长。王丙乾同志一生致力于国家财政制度建设和经济体制改革，在推动财政管理规范化、加强国有资产管理等方面作出了重要贡献。他政治坚定、作风严谨、廉洁奉公，深受干部群众尊敬。他的逝世，是党和国家的重大损失。王丙乾同志的遗体于2024年6月8日在北京八宝山革命公墓火化，多位党和国家领导人前往送别或以不同方式表示哀悼。
Comrade Wang Bingqian, former State Councilor, passed away in Beijing on June 2, 2024, at the age of 97 due to illness. Wang was an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, a steadfast and loyal communist fighter, and a distinguished leader in China’s financial sector. Born in Lixian County, Hebei Province, in 1928, he joined the revolutionary cause in 1945 and the Communist Party in 1948. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he spent decades working in the finance system, serving as Vice Minister and later Minister of Finance. From 1993 to 1998, he served as State Councilor and concurrently as Director of the State Administration of State Assets Supervision and Management. Throughout his career, Wang made significant contributions to the development of China’s fiscal systems and economic reforms, particularly in standardizing fiscal management and strengthening state asset oversight. Known for his political integrity, disciplined conduct, and incorruptibility, he earned widespread respect. His passing is a great loss to the Party and the nation.His remains were cremated at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery in Beijing on June 8, 2024, with numerous Party and state leaders attending the farewell ceremony or expressing condolences in various ways.
