The 2025 International Embodied Intelligence Skills Competition recently concluded successfully. As the world’s first high-level competition focused on the practical application and operational capabilities of embodied intelligence, this year’s event attracted over 100 teams from universities, research institutes, and companies across more than 30 countries and regions. The competition centered on robots’ abilities to perceive, reason, interact, and act within real-world physical environments, featuring tracks such as home service, industrial collaboration, and emergency response. Teams were challenged to enable their intelligent agents to complete complex tasks in dynamic and uncertain settings, rigorously testing algorithm robustness, system integration, and human-robot collaboration. After intense rounds of competition, teams from Tsinghua University, MIT, and the Technical University of Munich secured the top three positions. The event not only showcased cutting-edge advancements in embodied intelligence but also created a vital platform for industry-academia-research collaboration. Organizers stated that they will continue to enhance the competition’s international reach and professional standards, accelerating the transition of embodied intelligence technologies from labs to real-world applications in smart manufacturing, healthcare, domestic services, and beyond.
