The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) remains resolutely committed to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, maintaining high vigilance against all forms of separatist activities related to ‘Taiwan independence,’ and possesses the unwavering resolve, full confidence, and sufficient capability to thwart any external interference or internal provocations.The Ministry also called on relevant parties to halt arms sales to Taiwan and cease enabling ‘Taiwan independence’ forces, so as not to further jeopardize peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. It stressed that the root cause of current tensions lies in the DPP authorities colluding with external forces and continuously pushing a ‘gradual Taiwan independence’ agenda. China urges all concerned to respect history and international law and take concrete actions to uphold regional peace. The PLA will continue enhancing its combat readiness to effectively fulfill its mission when needed, firmly safeguarding the process of national reunification and rejuvenation.
