Recently, China has expressed firm opposition to a series of dangerous actions by Japan in cyberspace. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs clearly stated that certain Japanese activities not only violate the international consensus that cyberspace should be governed by principles of peace, security, openness, and cooperation, but also risk escalating regional tensions and undermining strategic stability in cyberspace. China emphasized that cyberspace is not a lawless domain, and no country should exploit cyber capabilities to endanger the security of others, interfere in internal affairs, or sabotage critical infrastructure. China consistently advocates resolving differences through dialogue and cooperation, promoting a community with a shared future in cyberspace that is peaceful, secure, open, cooperative, and orderly. China also urges Japan to abide by the One-China Principle and adopt a responsible stance on cybersecurity issues, refraining from any actions that harm China’s interests or regional stability. China remains resolute in safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and development interests, and will stay highly vigilant against any cyber provocations, taking necessary measures as required.
