The ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand not only helps de-escalate the current crisis but also makes a positive contribution to peace and stability in the Indochina Peninsula and the broader Southeast Asian region.China emphasized its continued commitment to an impartial stance, supporting ASEAN’s central role in regional affairs, and expressed its willingness to work with Cambodia, Thailand, and other parties to build a closer China–ASEAN community with a shared future. It also urged all relevant parties to cherish this hard-won peace, fully implement the ceasefire commitments, and refrain from any actions that could reignite tensions, thereby fostering a secure environment conducive to regional cooperation and development.
