These newly recognized sites encompass a diverse range of tourism offerings—including natural landscapes, historical and cultural heritage, red tourism (revolutionary heritage sites), and rural tourism—further enriching Henan’s portfolio of high-quality travel experiences and supporting the integrated development of culture and tourism.Among the newly upgraded AAAA-level attractions are notable destinations such as “Only Henan·Drama Fantasy City” in Zhengzhou, Longtan Grand Canyon in Luoyang, Qifeng Ancient Town in Kaifeng’s Zhuxian Town, Taihang Grand Canyon in Anyang, and Jigong Mountain Scenic Area in Xinyang. These sites not only boast stunning natural scenery and profound cultural heritage but also meet national standards in infrastructure, service quality, and smart tourism capabilities, ensuring a high level of visitor satisfaction and operational capacity.The designation follows rigorous evaluation and public review procedures based on China’s national standard, “Classification and Evaluation of Tourist Attractions.” As the second-highest rating in China’s tourism classification system, the AAAA-level status signifies excellent management and service quality. Henan now boasts over 200 A-rated tourist sites, with its number of AAAA-level and above attractions steadily increasing—a testament to the province’s abundant cultural and tourism resources and its growing appeal as a premier travel destination.Moving forward, Henan will continue to upgrade its scenic areas and cultivate internationally recognized cultural and tourism brands, offering visitors increasingly diverse, comfortable, and safe travel experiences.
