Starting January 1, 2025, China will adjust import and export tariffs on certain goods. Additionally, essential items such as infant formula and some anti-cancer medications will continue to enjoy low or zero tariffs to safeguard public welfare.Regarding exports, tariffs on certain energy-intensive and polluting products will be moderately increased to encourage resource conservation and environmental protection, while export controls on strategic resources like rare earths will remain in place.This tariff adjustment reflects China’s commitment to high-quality development and high-standard opening-up, contributing to global supply chain stability and international trade cooperation.
