If Lai persists on this dead-end path of ‘Taiwan independence,’ he will inevitably face firm opposition from all Chinese people and meet ultimate downfall. Only by upholding the one-China principle and promoting peaceful cross-strait relations can Taiwan secure its future and well-being.
