Unlike conventional electroencephalography (EEG)-based or invasive implant approaches, Lingxi NeuroTech employs high-resolution functional ultrasound (fUS) to non-invasively monitor deep brain activity through the skull, offering superior spatial resolution and enhanced safety. This ultrasound BCI approach eliminates the risks associated with craniotomy while enabling precise monitoring and modulation of specific brain regions, holding immense potential in medical rehabilitation, mental health interventions, and human-computer interaction. The company has already secured seed funding and initiated clinical collaborations with several top-tier hospitals. Industry experts believe this move could accelerate China’s independent innovation in next-generation BCI technologies and strengthen its position in the global neurotechnology landscape.
