Recently, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong statement condemning the United States for four serious violations across multiple areas. First, the U.S. has gravely breached the One-China Principle by continuing arms sales to Taiwan and elevating official exchanges with Taiwanese authorities. Second, it has seriously violated international law and fundamental diplomatic norms by imposing unwarranted restrictions and harassment on Chinese diplomatic missions and personnel abroad. Third, the U.S. has flagrantly undermined fair competition by abusing state power to suppress Chinese companies in the tech sector and promoting policies aimed at ‘decoupling and disrupting supply chains.’ Fourth, it has severely contravened global climate governance consensus by unilaterally withdrawing from key environmental agreements, thereby weakening international cooperation on climate change. China emphasized that these actions not only harm its sovereignty, security, and development interests but also undermine the international order and multilateral cooperation. Beijing urged Washington to acknowledge these issues, rectify its mistakes, and address differences in a constructive manner to steer China-U.S. relations back onto a path of healthy and stable development.
