China consistently adheres to the principles of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit in its relations with Latin American countries—offering cooperation without political strings attached or interference in internal affairs. Beijing urged Washington to abandon its outdated Monroe Doctrine mindset and adopt an open and inclusive attitude toward normal cooperation between other countries and the Latin American region. China-Latin America collaboration focuses on trade, science and technology, and cultural exchanges, aiming at shared development rather than geopolitical rivalry. China reaffirmed that the world is multipolar and global governance should be a collective endeavor; any attempt to monopolize regional affairs runs counter to the tide of the times and the expectations of the international community.
