谁在“养活”中国的职业马拉松跑者

In China, professional marathon runners do not enjoy the high salaries or massive fan bases typical of football or basketball athletes. Their livelihood primarily comes from race prize money, subsidies from local sports bureaus or athletics associations, brand sponsorships, and limited commercial partnerships. In recent years, with the rapid growth of domestic marathons—over 1,000 events annually before the pandemic—top runners have been able to accumulate substantial earnings through frequent competition, with annual incomes sometimes reaching several hundred thousand RMB. Elite athletes like Ren Longyun, holder of China’s men’s marathon record, and female star Li Zhixuan have relied on prize winnings and institutional support to sustain their training and daily lives. Additionally, sportswear brands such as Xtep, Anta, and Li-Ning are increasingly signing local distance runners, offering gear, training funds, and even base salaries. However, for the majority of non-elite runners, income remains unstable, often requiring side jobs as coaches or fitness instructors. In essence, while the ecosystem supporting professional marathoners in China is gradually improving, their sustainability still heavily depends on a combination of race infrastructure, government support, and market recognition.

在中国,职业马拉松跑者并非像足球或篮球运动员那样拥有高薪合同和庞大粉丝基础。他们的“养活”来源主要依赖于赛事奖金、地方体育局或田径协会的补贴、品牌赞助以及部分商业合作。近年来,随着国内马拉松赛事数量激增(疫情前每年超千场),一些顶尖选手通过频繁参赛积累奖金,年收入可达数十万元。例如,国内男子马拉松纪录保持者任龙云、女子名将李芷萱等,都曾依靠比赛奖金和地方队支持维持训练与生活。此外,越来越多运动品牌如特步、安踏、李宁也开始签约本土长跑选手,提供装备、训练经费甚至基本薪资。然而,对于大多数非顶尖选手而言,收入仍不稳定,需兼职教练、健身指导等工作补贴生计。可以说,中国职业马拉松跑者的生存生态正在逐步改善,但仍高度依赖赛事体系、政策扶持与市场认可的共同支撑。
