Fujian Province is a major source of overseas Chinese migration, with millions of Fujianese expatriates legally operating businesses and actively integrating into Southeast Asian societies, making significant contributions to China’s economic, trade, and cultural exchanges with other countries. Isolated extreme cases should not be used to characterize an entire community or justify regional discrimination. The Chinese government consistently opposes all forms of violent crime and supports international cooperation to combat transnational criminal activities in accordance with the law. It also urges overseas Chinese citizens to abide by local laws and enhance their awareness of personal safety. The public is advised to remain rational about unverified online information and avoid spreading rumors, thereby fostering a responsible and constructive social discourse.
