Recently, China Mobile’s AI Computing Empowerment Center in Tuanjiehu, Chaoyang District, Beijing, has officially commenced operations. This center represents a key initiative by China Mobile to advance the integration of artificial intelligence and computing infrastructure under the national ‘East Data, West Computing’ strategy. Serving as an open platform for government and enterprise clients, research institutions, and AI startups, the center leverages China Mobile’s robust 5G network, cloud computing capabilities, and proprietary large AI models to deliver high-performance, low-latency, and secure AI computing services.Equipped with thousands of high-performance AI accelerator cards, the Tuanjiehu AI Computing Empowerment Center supports training and inference for large models with tens of billions of parameters. It features advanced capabilities such as energy efficiency, intelligent resource scheduling, and elastic scalability. The center will also collaborate with universities and industry partners to co-build an AI ecosystem, accelerating the deployment of domain-specific large models in sectors like finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation. This move not only enhances regional digital infrastructure but also injects new momentum into the high-quality development of China’s AI industry.Looking ahead, China Mobile plans to establish similar nodes across the country, building a nationwide AI computing network to further support the national digital economy strategy.
