Recently, Avatr Technology has officially submitted the new Avatr 12 model for approval to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). As a premium smart electric vehicle brand co-developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, the Avatr 12 has drawn significant attention since its debut due to its futuristic design language and cutting-edge intelligent driving technologies. The newly filed version retains the current model’s sleek coupe silhouette, featuring a closed-off front grille, electronic side mirrors, and frameless doors—hallmarks that underscore Avatr’s fusion of technology and aesthetics.In terms of performance, the updated Avatr 12 will be offered in both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations. The high-performance AWD variant delivers a peak output of 425 kW, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time likely under 3 seconds. The vehicle continues to integrate Huawei’s full-stack HI (Huawei Inside) smart car solution, supporting advanced driver-assistance systems, and is equipped with CATL’s high-energy-density battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range potentially exceeding 700 kilometers.Moreover, the interior is expected to feature upgraded eco-friendly materials and an immersive cockpit layout, further enhancing luxury and digital experience. With the official filing now public, the new Avatr 12 is anticipated to launch later this year, bringing fresh momentum to the premium all-electric sedan segment.
