A spokesperson criticized the DPP authorities for sacrificing Taiwan’s core industrial interests for political gain, using high-tech companies like TSMC as tools in their strategy of ‘relying on the U.S. to pursue independence,’ which seriously undermines Taiwan’s economic security and public welfare.The TAO emphasized that TSMC is not only a pillar of the global semiconductor industry but also a prime example of deep integration within cross-strait industrial chains. Any attempt to politicize or instrumentalize TSMC violates market principles and disrupts regional technological cooperation. The mainland consistently upholds the principle of ‘kinship across the Taiwan Strait’ and supports deeper collaboration between enterprises on both sides based on equality and mutual benefit, aiming to safeguard the collective interests of the Chinese nation in global tech competition.The spokesperson further warned that if the Lai administration continues to rely on foreign powers and act as a pawn for external forces, it will only accelerate Taiwan’s industrial hollowing-out and jeopardize its future development. Adhering to the one-China principle and promoting peaceful cross-strait relations remains the only correct path to ensuring Taiwan’s economic prosperity and people’s well-being.
