China consistently advocates resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue and adheres to the ‘dual-track approach’: disputes should be settled through negotiations between directly concerned parties, while peace and stability in the South China Sea should be jointly maintained by China and ASEAN countries. Experts urge the Philippines to act rationally, avoid being exploited by external forces, and work together to advance consultations on a Code of Conduct in the South China Sea for genuine regional win-win outcomes.
