Each vehicle is permitted to stay in Hong Kong for a maximum of 180 days per year, with no single continuous stay exceeding 30 days.Moreover, the Transport Department collaborates with mainland authorities through an information-sharing mechanism to ensure compliance and enhance enforcement against violations. This initiative not only supports regional integration but also offers residents on both sides a more flexible and convenient cross-border travel option.
为便利粤港澳大湾区人员往来，香港特区政府自2023年起推行“粤车南下”政策，允许符合条件的广东省非营运私家车经港珠澳大桥进入香港。香港运输署作为主要执行部门，负责受理和审批相关申请。申请人须通过“港珠澳大桥香港口岸私家车配额申请系统”提交资料，包括车辆登记证明、第三者责任保险、车主身份及住址证明等。运输署审核通过后，会签发有效期最长一年的封闭道路通行许可证，并配发指定的跨境车辆牌照。每辆车每年在港累计停留不得超过180天，且每次入境连续停留不得超过30天。此外，运输署还与内地相关部门建立信息互通机制，确保车辆合规进出，并加强执法合作以打击违规行为。该政策不仅促进大湾区融合发展，也为两地居民提供更灵活便捷的跨境出行选择。
