九寨沟景区回应男子随意扔玉米棒

In the footage, a man threw his leftover corn cob directly into the pristine waters of the scenic area, an act captured by fellow visitors and shared on social media, quickly drawing public attention to uncivilized tourism behavior. In response, Jiuzhaigou’s management swiftly issued a statement, confirming they were aware of the incident and are now collaborating with local authorities to investigate. They emphasized that as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, Jiuzhaigou possesses an extremely fragile ecosystem, and any actions damaging the environment will be dealt with strictly according to law. Under the ‘Regulations on Scenic Areas of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture,’ littering within the scenic area can result in fines up to 500 RMB; if ecological damage occurs, offenders may also be required to cover restoration costs. The scenic area appeals to all visitors to travel responsibly, respect nature, and help protect this invaluable natural treasure. Additionally, Jiuzhaigou authorities pledged to enhance patrols and environmental education efforts to raise tourists’ awareness and prevent similar incidents in the future.
