Under the ‘Regulations on Scenic Areas of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture,’ littering within the scenic area can result in fines up to 500 RMB; if ecological damage occurs, offenders may also be required to cover restoration costs. The scenic area appeals to all visitors to travel responsibly, respect nature, and help protect this invaluable natural treasure. Additionally, Jiuzhaigou authorities pledged to enhance patrols and environmental education efforts to raise tourists’ awareness and prevent similar incidents in the future.
