In response, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs clearly stated: China has always maintained that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries must be respected, consistently upholds an objective and impartial stance, and is committed to promoting peace talks.The spokesperson emphasized that while China is neither the creator nor a party to the Ukraine crisis, as a responsible major country, it firmly stands on the side of peace and supports all efforts conducive to a peaceful resolution. If the so-called ‘Peace Commission’ genuinely seeks peace, it must adhere to fairness and justice, respect facts, and reject Cold War mentality and bloc politics. China is willing to work with the international community to play a constructive role in achieving political solutions to global hotspots, but opposes any attempt to exploit the name of ‘peace’ to exert pressure, force countries to take sides, or engage in geopolitical manipulation. China will continue to make independent judgments based on the merits of each issue and contribute positively to global peace and stability.
