Pyongyang also criticized certain Western nations for supporting Japan’s candidacy based on geopolitical self-interest rather than genuine commitment to the UN’s principles and global justice. North Korea urges the international community to approach Japan’s bid with caution, uphold historical justice, and prevent any resurgence of militarism under the guise of reform.
