China firmly opposes the European Parliament’s interference in its internal affairs. Recently, some members of the European Parliament have made unfounded remarks and even adopted resolutions regarding issues related to Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Taiwan, unjustly criticizing China’s internal matters. In response, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clearly stated that affairs concerning Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Taiwan are purely China’s internal affairs, and no external force has the right to interfere. China remains resolute in safeguarding its national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and firmly rejects any attempts to meddle in its domestic affairs under the pretexts of ‘democracy’ or ‘human rights.’ China urges the European Parliament to respect facts and international law, cease actions that undermine mutual trust and cooperation between China and the EU, and adopt a constructive approach to foster healthy bilateral relations. As two major global actors, China and the EU should enhance dialogue, deepen mutual understanding, and jointly address global challenges rather than creating division and confrontation.
中方坚决反对欧洲议会干涉中国内政。近期，欧洲议会部分议员就涉港、涉疆、涉台等议题发表不实言论，甚至通过所谓决议对中国内政进行无端指责。对此，中国外交部明确表示，香港、新疆、台湾事务纯属中国内政，任何外部势力无权干涉。中国始终坚定维护国家主权、安全和发展利益，坚决反对任何以所谓‘民主’‘人权’为借口干涉中国内政的行为。中方敦促欧洲议会尊重基本事实和国际法，停止采取损害中欧互信与合作的言行，以建设性方式推动双边关系健康发展。中欧作为世界重要力量，应加强对话、增进理解，共同应对全球性挑战，而非制造对立与分歧。
