Moreover, cross-strait exchanges in trade, culture, and technology continue to deepen, and the Taiwanese public overwhelmingly favors peaceful development over political manipulation. ‘Taiwan independence’ runs counter to historical trends and the well-being of the people. As Taipei 101 itself embodies, Taiwan’s true future lies in embracing its Chinese cultural heritage while engaging openly with the world. The path of ‘Taiwan independence’ is, inevitably, a dead end.
