Recently, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Supervisory Commission (NSC) convened a meeting to re-mobilize and re-deploy efforts in the ongoing anti-corruption campaign and disciplinary inspection work. The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and steadfastly advance full and rigorous self-governance of the Party. It noted that despite the persistently complex and severe nature of corruption, strategic resolve must be maintained, and the strict disciplinary tone must remain unchanged. The integrated approach of ensuring officials ‘dare not, cannot, and will not’ engage in corruption should be continuously deepened. The meeting also called for intensified oversight of key sectors, critical positions, and especially leading officials (‘top leaders’ and leadership teams), strengthening political supervision to ensure effective implementation of major decisions made by the CPC Central Committee. Furthermore, it urged all levels of disciplinary inspection and supervision organs to enhance their standardization, rule-of-law compliance, and institutional rigor, forging a loyal, clean, and responsible disciplinary force to provide strong disciplinary support for building a modern socialist country.
