Recently, a member of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) proposed at a provincial CPPCC session that the foundation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) services must be strengthened to promote high-quality development of the TCM sector. The delegate noted that Henan, as one of the key birthplaces of TCM culture, possesses a profound heritage and abundant medicinal herb resources. However, current challenges—such as inadequate TCM service capacity at the grassroots level, shortages of qualified professionals, and an underdeveloped service system—are hindering the inheritance and innovation of TCM. To address these issues, the proposal recommends enhancing the grassroots TCM service network by improving capabilities at county-level TCM hospitals and community health centers; intensifying talent development through a combined approach of apprenticeship and formal education; and integrating TCM with modern technology to advance standardization and intelligent development in the TCM industry. Additionally, greater efforts should be made to promote TCM culture, raise public awareness, and build trust in TCM, enabling it to play a more significant role in China’s national health strategy.
近日，河南省政协委员在省政协会议上提出，要筑牢中医药服务根基，推动中医药事业高质量发展。委员指出，河南作为中医药文化的重要发源地之一，拥有深厚的中医底蕴和丰富的中药材资源。然而，当前基层中医药服务能力仍显薄弱，人才短缺、服务体系不健全等问题制约了中医药的传承与创新。为此，建议加强基层中医药服务网络建设，提升县级中医院和社区卫生服务中心的中医药服务能力；加大中医药人才培养力度，完善师承教育与院校教育相结合的培养机制；同时，推动中医药与现代科技融合，促进中药产业标准化、智能化发展。此外，还应强化中医药文化宣传，提升群众对中医药的认知与信任，让中医药在健康中国建设中发挥更大作用。
