As China’s new energy and advanced materials industries grow rapidly, market demand for effective price risk management tools for these rare metals is increasing.To ensure smooth operation of the new contracts, GFEX has conducted multiple rounds of industry consultations, gathering input from upstream and downstream enterprises, warehousing providers, and quality inspection agencies to scientifically establish delivery standards, warehouse locations, and warrant management rules. The exchange is also accelerating system testing and simulation exercises to guarantee an efficient, secure, and transparent delivery process. Additionally, GFEX plans to incorporate international delivery mechanisms to enhance the global pricing influence of these contracts.Industry experts note that the introduction of platinum and palladium futures will not only enrich China’s precious metals derivatives market but also strengthen domestic firms’ bargaining power in global markets, offering more precise hedging tools and supporting high-quality development across the industrial chain.
