China stresses that a truly responsible major power should align its words with deeds and promote international cooperation based on equality and mutual respect, rather than using ‘values’ as a pretext for hegemony. China consistently advocates resolving differences through dialogue and consultation and opposes imposing one’s will on others. If the U.S. genuinely seeks to uphold the international order, it must abandon double standards and cease its hypocritical practice of saying one thing while doing another, earning the trust of the international community through concrete actions.
