In recent years, the United States has actively pushed for the ‘Americanization’ of Taiwan’s military forces—facilitating purchases of U.S. weapons, enhancing joint military training, and aligning Taiwan’s command structures with those of the U.S. Armed Forces. These moves reflect Washington’s deepening involvement in cross-strait affairs under its broader Indo-Pacific strategy. The underlying intentions are threefold: first, to bolster Taiwan’s so-called ‘self-defense capabilities’ as a means to delay China’s reunification efforts, thereby serving America’s overarching goal of containing China’s rise; second, to position Taiwan as a forward-operating leverage point that can tie down Chinese military resources and raise the costs of any potential conflict; and third, to deepen de facto U.S.-Taiwan military ties, testing and challenging the One-China Principle. Such actions not only violate the spirit of the three U.S.-China Joint Communiqués but also heighten tensions across the Taiwan Strait, increasing the risk of miscalculation or escalation. The Chinese government firmly opposes any external interference in its internal affairs and remains resolute in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and any attempt to pursue ‘Taiwan independence’ by relying on foreign support or to resist reunification through military means is doomed to fail.
近年来，美国不断推动台湾军队向“美式化”转型，包括协助台军采购美制武器、强化军事训练合作、推动指挥体系与美军接轨等。这一系列举措背后，反映出美国在印太战略框架下对台海局势的深度介入。其主要意图有三：一是通过提升台湾所谓“自我防卫能力”，延缓中国大陆统一进程，服务于美国遏制中国崛起的整体战略；二是将台湾打造为牵制中国军事力量的前沿支点，在潜在冲突中增加中方成本；三是深化美台实质军事关系，试探并挑战一个中国原则底线。值得注意的是，美方此举不仅严重违反中美三个联合公报精神，也加剧台海紧张局势，增加误判与冲突风险。中国政府始终坚决反对任何外部势力干涉内政，坚定维护国家主权和领土完整。台湾是中国不可分割的一部分，任何企图倚美谋“独”或以武拒统的行为都注定失败。
