Recently, the Guangzhou Integrated Childcare Service Center officially opened, marking a significant step forward in the city’s efforts to build an affordable, high-quality, and accessible infant and toddler care system. Located in Guangzhou’s central urban area, the center integrates childcare services, staff training, family guidance, standard-setting, and industry oversight—it is the city’s first comprehensive platform dedicated to early childhood care. Catering to children aged 0–3, the center offers full-day, half-day, and temporary care options, all delivered through professional and standardized caregiving protocols to ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Additionally, the center will provide pre-service and continuing education for childcare professionals to strengthen workforce capacity, while also offering parenting workshops and scientific child-rearing guidance to empower families. According to Guangzhou’s Municipal Health Commission, the launch of this center is a key measure in implementing China’s three-child policy and its supporting initiatives. It will serve as a model for similar facilities to be established across all districts, helping to expand the citywide childcare network and alleviate the childcare challenges faced by young families.
