中国年注碳百万吨油田在新疆诞生

Recently, China’s first oilfield project capable of injecting one million tons of carbon dioxide annually has been officially commissioned in Xinjiang, marking a critical step forward in the large-scale deployment of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technology. Located in the Junggar Basin of Xinjiang, the project—developed by PetroChina—captures CO₂ emissions from industrial sources and injects them into underground oil reservoirs. This not only enhances oil recovery but also permanently stores the CO₂ underground. It is estimated that the facility can sequester approximately one million tons of CO₂ per year—equivalent to the carbon absorption of nearly nine million trees. The initiative significantly supports China’s ‘dual carbon’ goals: peaking carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. Moreover, it offers a viable low-carbon transition pathway for high-emission industries. As the technology matures and costs decline, CCUS is expected to be rolled out across more oil and gas fields nationwide, becoming a key strategy in China’s fight against climate change.

近日,中国首个年注碳能力达百万吨级的油田项目在新疆正式建成投产,标志着我国在推动碳捕集、利用与封存(CCUS)技术规模化应用方面迈出关键一步。该项目位于新疆准噶尔盆地,依托中石油旗下油田资源,通过将工业排放的二氧化碳捕集后注入地下油层,不仅有效提升原油采收率,还实现二氧化碳的长期地质封存。据测算,该油田每年可注入约100万吨二氧化碳,相当于植树近900万棵的碳汇效果。这一项目不仅助力国家‘双碳’目标(2030年前碳达峰、2060年前碳中和),也为高排放行业提供了一条可行的低碳转型路径。未来,随着技术成熟和成本下降,CCUS有望在全国更多油气田推广应用,成为我国应对气候变化的重要手段之一。
