浙江明年起调整最低工资标准

Starting January 1, 2024, Zhejiang Province will implement a new round of adjustments to its minimum wage standards. According to an announcement from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the monthly minimum wage will be divided into four tiers: RMB 2,490, RMB 2,260, RMB 2,070, and RMB 1,840. The corresponding hourly minimum wages are set at RMB 24, RMB 22, RMB 20, and RMB 18, respectively. This adjustment aims to better safeguard the basic living standards of low-income workers and promote social equity and shared prosperity. The revised standards apply to all employers across the province, including enterprises, self-employed businesses, and private non-enterprise organizations. After the adjustment, Zhejiang’s minimum wage levels remain among the highest nationwide, reflecting the province’s robust economic development and strong commitment to protecting workers’ rights. The policy also encourages businesses to enhance productivity and optimize management to adapt to rising labor costs, thereby supporting high-quality growth. It should be noted that the minimum wage does not include overtime pay, night-shift allowances, high-temperature subsidies, hazard-related compensation for working in harmful conditions, or other benefits mandated by laws, regulations, or national policies. Local human resources authorities will strengthen supervision to ensure full compliance with the new standards and effectively protect workers’ legal rights.
