Recently, the Greater Bay Area’s first air-rail intermodal service center officially opened at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. Jointly developed by Guangzhou Metro Group, China Southern Airlines, and other partners, the center integrates air and high-speed rail resources to offer passengers a seamless, one-stop transfer experience. Upon arrival at Baiyun Airport, travelers can now check in, drop off luggage, and purchase or collect high-speed rail tickets—all within the same facility—eliminating the need for multiple trips between transport hubs and significantly enhancing travel efficiency and convenience.The launch of this intermodal hub marks a pivotal step in building an integrated, multi-dimensional transportation network across the Greater Bay Area. As rail lines such as the Guangzhou–Foshan Ring Line and the Guangzhou–Dongguan–Shenzhen Intercity Railway are progressively connected to the airport, more cities will gain direct access to Baiyun Airport within 30 to 60 minutes. This not only reinforces Guangzhou’s role as an international aviation hub but also sets a replicable model that could be expanded to other major airports in the region, accelerating transportation integration and supporting the development of a world-class urban cluster.
近日，粤港澳大湾区首个空铁联运服务中心在广州白云国际机场正式启用。该中心由广州地铁集团与南方航空等单位联合打造，旨在整合航空与高铁资源，为旅客提供‘一站式’无缝换乘服务。旅客在抵达白云机场后，可直接在服务中心办理值机、行李托运及高铁票务等手续，无需多次往返不同交通站点，大幅提升了出行效率与体验。空铁联运服务中心的启用，标志着大湾区综合立体交通网络建设迈出关键一步。未来，随着广佛环线、穗莞深城际等轨道交通线路陆续接入机场，更多城市将实现30分钟至1小时直达白云机场，进一步强化广州作为国际航空枢纽的地位。同时，该模式也有望在大湾区其他枢纽机场复制推广，助力区域交通一体化和世界级城市群建设。
