Since the beginning of 2025, 13 police officers and auxiliary personnel in Liaoning Province have died in the line of duty. They gave their lives while fighting crime, maintaining public order, responding to emergencies, or serving local communities—embodying the solemn pledge that ‘the people’s police serve the people.’ Among them were both young recruits who had only recently joined the force and seasoned veterans with decades of service, with an average age under 40. Their deaths have left families grieving and deeply saddened the entire law enforcement community and society at large. In response, Liaoning’s public security authorities have activated special compensation and support programs for the families of the fallen and are actively honoring their legacies to inspire current officers to uphold their duties with loyalty and courage. These sacrifices serve as a poignant reminder that, even in times of peace, police forces remain one of the groups that make the greatest sacrifices and contributions—deserving of the nation’s enduring respect and remembrance.
