Recently, the U.S. government announced it would allow NVIDIA to sell its H200 AI chips to China, marking a partial easing of previous export control policies. In response, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Beijing has always advocated for technological cooperation and trade among nations based on principles of fairness, justice, and non-discrimination. The U.S. had previously imposed a series of high-tech export restrictions on China under the pretext of ‘national security,’ which not only harmed the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises but also disrupted the stability of global industrial and supply chains. China urges the U.S. to genuinely adhere to market principles and international rules, refrain from overgeneralizing national security concerns, and foster an open, fair, and predictable business environment for global market participants, including Chinese companies. Furthermore, China emphasized that its advancements in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence are the result of independent innovation and will not be halted by external restrictions. Moving forward, China will continue to expand high-standard opening-up and promote an open global economy.
