As one of the most competitive university-affiliated teams in recent CTTSL seasons, Shenzhen University boasts world champions like Sun Yingsha and Wang Yidi, complemented by promising young athletes, forming a well-balanced squad across age groups.Throughout the regular season, the team delivered consistent performances, securing top spot in their group thanks to strong teamwork and composure in crucial matches. In the semifinals, they faced tough rivals Shandong Luneng. Under pressure, Sun Yingsha clinched the decisive fifth match, leading Shenzhen University to a narrow 3–2 victory and their first finals appearance in three years.Since establishing its professional table tennis team in 2016, Shenzhen University has championed the integration of elite sports and higher education. This finals berth not only validates the team’s competitive prowess but also highlights a successful model of university involvement in professional sports. They will now face Shanghai Real Estate Group in the championship match for the 2024 CTTSL women’s title.
